INFORMATION UNDER ARTICLE 14 GDPR

Your listing and Autoflip

You put a car up for sale and you have never heard of us. This page explains what Autoflip does with your listing, what we deliberately leave out and how you stop it in one click.

Remove my listing

Paste the link to your listing. We delete it straight away and put it on a block list, so our scanners do not pick it up again. You do not have to give a reason, a name or an email address.

What Autoflip is

Autoflip is an alert service for car dealers. They set a search, and when a matching car appears on 2dehands.be, Marktplaats.nl, AutoScout24 or Mobile.de they get a message with a button to that listing. In practice it means someone sees your car faster.

We are not connected to those platforms and we sell nothing ourselves. We do not place ads and we do not contact sellers.

What we take from your listing

  • the car: make, model, price, year, mileage, power, fuel, transmission, body type
  • the town or municipality shown on the listing
  • the link to the listing and the link to its first photo
  • whether the platform labels you as a private seller or a business

What we deliberately do not take

This is the part that matters most, so it is stated plainly. Autoflip stores none of the following:

  • your name or your user name
  • your phone number
  • your email address
  • the text you wrote in the listing
  • your licence plate

If you typed your phone number or plate into the title of your listing, we strip it out before saving.

How long we keep it

Seven days, then it is deleted automatically. A listing that actually triggered an alert stays in that subscriber's own list for as long as he keeps it there, at most a year.

Why we are allowed to

We rely on legitimate interest, article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In short: your listing exists to reach buyers, and this service brings buyers to it. We weighed that against your privacy and kept what we store as small as we could.

You do not have to accept that reasoning. With this legal ground you may object at any time, without giving a reason, and we then have to stop. The button at the top of this page does exactly that.

Why you never heard from us

Normally we would have to tell you personally. We cannot, because we hold no name, no email address and no phone number of yours. Collecting those just to write to you would mean storing more about you, not less. Article 14(5)(b) GDPR allows a public page instead. This is that page.

Your other rights

You can ask what we hold about a listing, have it corrected or have it deleted. Mail the link to hallo@autoflip.eu.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority: the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Belgian Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit or the authority in your own country.
